Integrated Ticketing

The Government is committed to delivering an integrated electronic ticketing system (ETS) for greater Sydney, recognising that cashless ticketing for Sydney's public transport network is an important initiative.

The ETS will be a fast, convenient and sustainable system and is being procured and delivered by Public Transport Ticketing Corporation, part of the Department of Transport and Infrastructure.

The procurement for the ETS is being conducted in a number of stages. Submissions to the Request for Proposal Stage were received on 28 July 2009 and evaluation of them has started. The procurement schedule is on-track to sign a contract in the first quarter of 2010.
