Quick Reference Geographic Guides for Transport Concession Cards

The Quick Reference Geographic Guides for buses and for ferries can be used to identify the concession card/s currently needed on bus and ferry services within the Metropolitan/Outer Metropolitan areas, and for Rural and Regional areas.

The type of concession card required is indicated by the form number in the third column (purple) of the guides. For government services, the NSW Student Identification Card (Form 204); for private services, the Student's Omnibus Concession Fare Certificate - Private Omnibus Services (Form 320).

With the government concession card becoming the standard card for Metropolitan and Outer Metropolitan bus services, more services will now require the Government concession card, NSW Student Identification Card (Form 204), than previously. There has been no change to card requirements on ferry services.

To locate a particular area within the Quick Reference Guide for buses note that:

  • The Greater Metropolitan Area is split into Metropolitan and Outer Metropolitan areas with:
    • The Metropolitan bus service areas arranged in suburban groupings.
    • The Outer Metropolitan bus service areas grouped by geographic area (north, south, west) and into towns, district centres and regional centres.
