Travel Concessions for NSW World War 1 Veterans

Eligibility

WW1 veterans and their spouse/widow and Victoria Cross/George Cross award holders and their spouse/widow who are:

  • registered with the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA); and
  • live in NSW.

Where the Pass is endorsed for an attendant, the attendant is also entitled to free travel.

Proof of eligibility

Eligible beneficiaries must have a NSW World War 1 Veterans Free Pass to prove their eligibility for a public transport concession.

Where to get a card/replacement card

The NSW World War 1 Veterans Free Pass is issued by RailCorp's Passes and Concessions office.

Applications are made using the Ex-Member of the Defence Forces Pass application form which is available from RailCorp's Passes and Concessions office, the Department of Veteran Affairs or regional RSL Sub Branch offices.

Period of validity

12 months to 31 October each year.

Fees

There is no fee for the original card issue or replacement card.
