Taxi vehicle standards
Taxi vehicle standards are set by the NSW Government. Taxi operators are required to meet specifications about vehicle age, safety, communications equipment and a range of other specifications. Wheelchair accessible taxies are required to meet a number of Australian standards, set by the Commonwealth Government under disability legisation.
