Vehicle monitoring devices
The Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999 and Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management (Road Rules) Regulation 1999 refer to the fitment and use of Vehicle Monitoring Devices (VMDs).
In addition to these requirements Transport for NSW requires that with effect 24 July 2006, Vehicle Monitoring Devices (VMDs) be activated in accordance with the Passenger Transport Act 1990, Section 7, Standard for Accredited Bus Operators (pdf 49KB).
