Country Passenger Transport Infrastructure Grants Scheme (CPTIGS)

The Country Passenger Transport Infrastructure Grants Scheme (CPTIGS) is administered by the Ministry of Transport. It provides support funding to improve the amenity of passenger transport infrastructure in rural, regional and remote communities of NSW (list and map of eligible Local Government Areas).

Who Can Apply?

Local government, incorporated community organisations, transport operators, and other interested organisations that have a current Australian Business Number are eligible.

Proposed projects must be located outside the specified boundary of greater Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong metropolitan areas, in one of the listed Local Government Areas.

Regional Transport Coordinators

The Ministry employs 11 Regional Transport Coordinators (RTC) across regional NSW to assist with transport planning and development to support people who are transport disadvantaged. The RTCs can be contacted for more information and advice about applying for CPTIGS funding.

Country Transport Resource Kit

The Resource Kit is aimed at councils, community organisations and transport operators in country areas, seeking to improve local transport services. It simplifies the process of transport development by providing advice and information, examples of existing transport initiatives and a large number of useful contacts.
