Local and community transport

Community transport meets the needs of transport disadvantaged groups in the community. These groups include isolated families, the frail aged, younger people with disabilities, and their carers. Where conventional public transport systems are not generally viable or appropriate, community transport provides transport disadvantaged people with access to recreation, shopping, medical care, social services and social contact.
Transport for NSW has direct administrative responsibility for a number of NSW Government community transport programs.
