Project overview

The NSW Government improved accessibility at Hawkesbury River Station.

This upgrade was delivered as part of the Transport Access Program, an initiative to provide a better experience for public transport customers by delivering modern, safe and accessible infrastructure.

Key benefits

  • two new lifts to provide access to the station platforms
  • a new accessible parking space and kiss and ride space 
  • a new accessible pathway and pedestrian crossing to the Dangar Road car park
  • a new family accessible toilet and unisex ambulant toilet
  • improvements to CCTV and lighting to increase safety and security.

Project status

Hawkesbury River Station Upgrade is now complete. 

Customers are able to use the station's new and improved accessibility features. Hawkesbury River Station is now accessible, allowing for safer, easier and more convenient travel for all customers.

Transport for NSW would like to thank the community for their continued support and cooperation during the Hawkesbury River Station Upgrade.
