Changed traffic conditions along the Hume Motorway between Narellan Road and Picton Road

Published

There will be changed traffic conditions on Wednesday 10 January and Thursday 11 January along the Hume Motorway between Narellan Road and Picton Road.

Work will involve pouring of the concrete deck for the east to west bridge link over the Hume Motorway and will be undertaken over 2-night shifts, weather permitting. The work will take place between 7pm and 5am each shift.

OSOM vehicles that are beyond 3.8 metres wide will be directed to temporarily park in a dedicated space on the Hume Motorway until they’re assisted by traffic controllers back onto the motorway to safely continue their journey.

A 4.5-kilometre contraflow will be in place to enable the closure of one carriageway each night with traffic control managing traffic in both directions and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h in place for the safety of workers and road users.

During the closure of the northbound carriageway, vehicles will be unable to use the Dust Bowl as a layover area.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and to follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
