Changed traffic conditions at North Sydney from this Friday

Published

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Warringah Freeway from this Friday.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow additional travel time with traffic changes planned from 10pm Friday 8 December to 4.30am Monday 11 December.

Multiple closures and related detours will be in place along the freeway. These changes are necessary to implement long-term temporary adjustments to several lanes on the Warringah Freeway.

Traffic changes will include night closures of:

  • Reversible carriageway, which will reduce northbound capacity, slowing journey times for outbound motorists on the freeway.
  • Falcon Street northbound on ramp, requiring a detour via Pacific Highway.
  • Miller Street northbound off ramp, requiring motorists to exit at Brook St off ramp.

Continuous closure from 10pm Friday to 4.30am Monday will be in place for:

  • left-turn access from Mount Street to Alfred Street North.
  • part of the Mount Street eastern on ramp and eastbound bus lane – general traffic and buses will share a single lane.
  • Berry Street northbound on ramp to Warringah Freeway. Alternative access via Falcon Street (tolled) on ramp during the day or Pacific Highway (untolled) at all times.

Visit nswroads.work/wfuportal for more information and to view detour maps. Motorists are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and follow the directions of signage in place.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
