Published

Motorists are advised of impacts on the ferry service at Webbs Creek this week due to planned industrial action.

The Maritime Union of Australia is conducting Protected Industrial Action (PIA) in relation to Birdon Vehicular Ferries, the contractor operating on behalf of Transport for NSW.

Ferry services will be impacted on Thursday 25 between 6.30am and 9.30am.

Emergency services needing to cross the river won’t be affected by the disruption and will be able to cross.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use services outside of these hours or detour south via St Albans Bridge, which will add approximately 50 minutes to journey times.

Eastbound road users will detour via St Albans Road, Settlers Road, Wisemans Ferry Road and Old Northern Road to River Road.

Westbound road users will detour via River Road, Old Northern Road, Wisemans Ferry Road and Settlers Road to St Albans Road.
