Safety and congestion measures planned for Woodstock Avenue

The measures include plans to extend existing No Stopping zones in both directions between Duke Street and the M7.

Under the proposal, around 88 parking spaces on the westbound lane would be removed.

This would improve safety for residents and all road users by reducing vehicles weaving to avoid other vehicles parked along the road.

It would also provide residents with better lines of sight when using their driveways and make it safer for pedestrians crossing the road.

Woodstock Avenue has high traffic volumes and is commonly used by freight vehicles travelling between the M7 and commercial areas to the west.

A review found there is low usage of parking spaces and sufficient space is available off-street or on side streets.

All community feedback will be carefully considered before a decision is made.

Transport for NSW will share with the community what it has learnt from the consultation period while continuing to provide updates as the project progresses.
