Bus Region 2 - A New Bus Network for the Liverpool and Campbelltown Region
The Ministry of Transport and Area 2 Management Company are pleased to announce that following community consultation, a new bus services network will be introduced in Bus Contract Region 2 on 18 August 2008. This bus region covers all or part of the local government areas of Camden, Campbelltown, Liverpool and Wollondilly.
As part of the NSW Government's bus reform, Area 2 Management Company has a contractual arrangement to provide bus services in this region. Working closely with the Ministry of Transport, Area 2 Management Company has developed a new bus network that will provide fast, frequent and direct services to major centres such as Liverpool and Campbelltown while maintaining links to employment, educational and recreational facilities.
After extensive community consultation and consideration of all feedback, Region 2 will be implemented on 18 August 2008.
The implementation will be supported by new timetables, advertisements in local papers, bus network guides. A transport access guide for Campbelltown Station will be distributed.
