Changed traffic conditions on Gore Hill Freeway at Artarmon

Due to maintenance, road closures will take place on the Gore Hill Freeway and Pacific Highway from Sunday 6 August to Sunday 3 September.

The maintenance work involves laying asphalt along these areas to create a smoother road surface and to ensure better safety.   

The planned road closures include: 

Sunday 6 August, Tuesday 8 August, Sunday 13 August
There will be single-lane closures and a reduced speed limit between Hamden Road and Merrenburn Avenue overpass between 8pm-5am.  

Monday 14 August
The Gore Hill Freeway on-ramp with be closed between 8pm and 5am. Traffic will detour via the Pacific Highway, Falcon Street and Warringah Freeway. 

Tuesday 15 August
The Gore Hill Freeway off-ramp will be closed between 8pm and 5am with the following detours in place: 

  • Light vehicles will detour via: Epping Road, Centennial Avenue, Mowbray Road West and Pacific Highway. 
  • Heavy vehicles will detour via: Delhi Road, Epping Road, Longueville Road, Pacific Highway, Falcon Street and Warringah Freeway.

These detours may add up to 45 minutes to your journey, so please allow extra travel time. Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.

At this stage all dates mentioned are forecasts only and may be subject to change. Variable Message Signs (VMS) will advise road closure dates prior to the start of work.
