Albion Park

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced November 2012 – Completed April 2013

Improvements to the transport interchange facilities and access at Albion Park Station included:

  • redesigning and regrading of the ramp on the western side of the station to make it wheelchair compliant
  • improving pedestrian access to the western side bus stop on the Princes Highway
  • providing a more user friendly bicycle parking facility
  • providing a formalised ‘kiss and ride’ area for passenger pick up and drop off.

Allawah

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced April 2010 – Completed October 2011

The transport interchange facilities at Allawah have been upgraded to make it easier for commuters to access the station by different transport modes. The upgrade included changes to bus stops, footpaths and ramps, a new 'kiss and ride' pedestrian drop-off zone, bicycle racks, shelters, fencing, guides for the visually impaired and signage on both sides of the station to improve accessibility.

Arncliffe

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced February 2013 – Completed April 2013

Improvements to the transport interchange facilities at Arncliffe Station included:

  • improving lighting for customer safety and comfort at the bus stops and taxi zones
  • improving pedestrian access to the long stay commuter car park located on the eastern side of Arncliffe Railway Station
  • maintaining the pavement to the long stay commuter car park located on the eastern side of Arncliffe Railway Station
  • providing signage to formalise the ‘kiss and ride’ facility on Firth Street.

Auburn

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced April 2013 – Completed September 2013

Improvements to the transport interchange facilities at Auburn Station included:

  • upgrading the Northumberland Road ‘kiss and ride’ facility to incorporate seating and signage
  • removing the existing stairs that lead to the ramp at the Railway Station entrance and exit at South Parade
  • installing a new weather wall at the South Parade bus stop.

Austinmer

Station upgrade – Commenced March 2013 – Completed May 2013

Improvements to Austinmer Station included redesigning and rebuilding the ramp to platform 2.

Berowra

Commuter car park – Commenced March 2010 – Completed December 2010

The new Berowra Commuter Car Park has been constructed directly outside Berowra Station with entry off the Pacific Highway. The car park provides approximately 130 spaces and includes accessible parking, security lighting and CCTV surveillance. Parking is free and available 24 hours, seven days per week.

Blacktown

Commuter car park – Commenced May 2010 – Completed July 2011

The project involved the construction of a multi-storey car park to the north of Blacktown Station, along First Avenue, providing 489 new commuter car park spaces. The new commuter car park has 15 disabled spaces, eight motorcycle spaces and 40 spaces for securing bicycles. The car park also includes lifts, security lighting and CCTV surveillance. Parking is free and available 24 hours, seven days a week.

The final important stage of the Blacktown Commuter Car Park project was completed in May 2012 and involved the creation of a dedicated right hand turn lane at the intersection of Third Avenue eastbound and Prince Street. The new right hand turn lane will allow for increased vehicle traffic entering the car park.

Campbelltown

Commuter car park – Commenced July 2009 – Completed December 2009

The Campbelltown Commuter Car Park project involved an extension of the existing car park on Farrow Road to create an additional 380 new car park spaces.

Campsie

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced February 2013 – Completed May 2013

Improvements to the transport interchange facilities at Campsie Station included:

  • seating at the eastbound bus stops on South Parade
  • improving bus stops on South Parade for customer safety and comfort
  • improving footpath pavements on route to and at the three on-street commuter car parks
  • installing clear and direct way-finding signage
  • installing disabled car parking spaces on North Parade, including lighting upgrades.

Canley Vale

Accessibility upgrade – Commenced November 2013 – Completed May 2014

Improvements to accessibility at Canley Vale Station included the construction of new accessible ramps on both sides of the station, new stairs and bike racks on both sides of the station, and improved safety through additional CCTV surveillance cameras and lighting, new tactiles on the platform, new handrails and signage.

Cardiff

Station upgrade – Commenced mid 2011 – Completed April 2013

Cardiff Station has been upgraded to make train travel from this station more accessible for customers. The following facilities are now available for commuters:

  • a new lift with three stops linking Council’s Mary Street car park with the station car park and the pedestrian footbridge
  • a second lift linking the pedestrian footbridge and the platform
  • a re-graded ramp and footpath access from the footbridge to Main Road
  • a new main station building with accessible paths, weather protection enclosures, upgraded ticket office and a wheelchair and family accessible toilet
  • new and upgraded CCTV surveillance and lighting
  • extension of the platform to fit eight-car trains on the platform
  • new stair access between the two car parks and the footbridge level.

Clarendon

Accessibility upgrade – Commenced November 2013 – Completed April 2014

Improvements to accessibility at Clarendon Station included the construction of a new accessible ramp and new stairs, and improved safety through the installation of additional CCTV surveillance cameras and lighting.

Dapto

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced August 2013 – Completed December 2013

The improvements to the transport interchange facilities and access at Dapto Station included:

  • redesigning and rebuilding the ramp on the eastern side of the station to make it wheelchair accessible
  • installing clear signage, as well as provide more bus route and timetable information
  • providing new seating in the taxi and bus zones
  • constructing a safer bus access road
  • improving lighting in and around the station, bus interchange and taxi zone
  • upgrading footpaths around the station.

Dungog

Accessibility upgrade – Commenced July 2013 – Completed November 2013

The improvements to Dungog Station included the construction of a new ramp, new pedestrian walkway and an upgrade of the existing ramp leading to the platform.

Emu Plains

Commuter car park – Commenced March 2010 – Completed February 2011

The new Emu Plains Commuter Car Park has been constructed on the northern side of Emu Plains station with an entry from Lee Street. The car park provides approximately 275 spaces and includes accessible parking spaces, security lighting and CCTV surveillance.

Epping

Transport interchange upgrade – Completed July 2013

The improvements to the transport interchange facilities at Epping Station included:

  • upgrading the footpath on the western side of Beecroft Road (north of Epping Hotel) and upgrading road, pavement, kerb and guttering
  • installing a new bench seat at the existing bus stop on the western side of Beecroft Road.

Fairfield

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced February 2013 – Completed June 2014

The improvements to Fairfield Transport Interchange included:

  • reconfiguring the bus interchange into the commuter car park previously at the intersection of The Crescent and Court Road
  • formalising the kiss and ride zone on the westbound lane of The Crescent
  • relocating the taxi rank to the eastbound lane at the western end of The Crescent
  • aligning the exit point of the bus interchange with the Smart Street intersection
  • relocating the signalised pedestrian crossing and creating a new zebra pedestrian crossing on The Crescent
  • relocating timed and commuter parking on both sides of Fairfield Station, including replacement car parking at Wilga Street.
  • improving the streetscape on The Crescent and throughout the bus interchange, including new paving, street furniture, landscaping and wayfinding signage
  • extending the station forecourt to incorporate the historic crane currently located in the bus interchange
  • upgrading CCTV camera surveillance.

Gerringong

Station upgrade – Commenced late 2012 – Completed December 2012

The improvements to Gerringong Station included regrading and widening the existing external ramp which provides access to the platform, and provision of a new DDA compliant car parking space.

Greta

Station upgrade – Completed March 2013

The improvements to Greta Station include the redesigning and rebuilding of the existing ramps on both sides of the station and the entrances to improve customer access.

Glenbrook

Commuter car park and interchange upgrade – Commenced September 2013 – Completed March 2014

Improvements at Glenbrook Station included:

  • a new commuter car park providing around 56 extra car parking spaces
  • two accessible parking spaces close to the station entrance
  • a safer pedestrian crossing and traffic island
  • improved footpaths, wayfinding signage and security fencing
  • safety improvements to the station entrance including the installation of a new balustrade and non-slip paint to the ramp
  • improved lighting between the station entrance and the new car park (to be completed in April 2014).

Parking is free and available 24 hours, seven days per week.

Glenfield

Multi-storey commuter car park – Commenced October 2009 – Completed September 2010

The new multi-storey commuter car park is located north-east of the station with entry off Roy Watts Road. The commuter car park provides approximately 700 spaces and includes disabled parking, lift access to all levels, CCTV surveillance and security lighting. Parking is free and available 24 hours, seven days a week. This car park was delivered as part of the South West Rail Link.

Seddon Park commuter car park – Commenced May 2009 – Completed October 2009

The existing car park at Seddon Park has been extended, to provide 117 new parking spaces for commuters at Glenfield Station. The commuter car park includes accessible parking and security lighting with the entrance off Salisbury Avenue, Glenfield.

Gordon

Werona Avenue commuter car park upgrade – Completed April 2014

The existing Werona Avenue Commuter Car Park (corner of Werona Avenue and Park Avenue) has been upgraded and extended to provide an additional 30 parking spaces.

A new multi-storey commuter car park and interchange is being built on the western side of Gordon Station, off Henry Street.

Hamilton

Station upgrade – Completed March 2013

The improvement to Hamilton Station includes the redesigning and rebuilding of the existing ramp from the platform to the station entrance, off Beaumont Street.

Helensburgh

Commuter car park – Commenced April 2009 – Completed September 2009

The new commuter car park provides 70 new parking spaces and includes security lighting and CCTV surveillance. Located on the Southern side of the Station, with entry via Vera Street, the new commuter car park complements the additional accessible parking spaces that have been provided in the existing car park, closer to the station.

Holsworthy

Commuter car park – Commenced March 2009 – Completed December 2009

The new multi-deck car park constructed over the existing car park at Holsworthy provides 350 new parking spaces for commuters in South West Sydney.

Jannali

Station upgrade – Commenced late 2012 – Completed April 2013

Improvements to Jannali Station included redesigning and rebuilding the current ramp on the western side of the station and upgrading the footpath on the eastern side of the station.

Katoomba

Commuter car park – Commenced November 2009 – Completed July 2010

Constructed north east of the station at the corner of the Great Western Highway and Goldsmith Place the car park provides 85 new parking spaces, security lighting and CCTV surveillance. In addition three new accessible parking spaces have been provided on the southern side of the station.

Kiama

Commuter car park – Commenced September 2013 – Completed December 2013

The new Kiama commuter car park has been constructed on Bong Bong Road, behind Kiama Mowers, approximately 100 metres from Kiama Station. The car park provides 40 spaces including an accessible parking space, security lighting and CCTV surveillance. Parking is free and available 24 hours, seven days per week.

Kingswood

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced August 2011 – Completed November 2011

The Kingswood transport interchange facilities and commuter car parking have been upgraded to make access to the station easier for people from different modes of transport.

The upgraded interchange facilities have new passenger drop off and pick up points, including 'kiss and ride' and taxi zones on the northern side. The interchange now has sheltered bicycle facilities, a shelter for taxi and 'kiss and ride' users on the northern side of the station and upgraded bus stops with tactiles and signage on Park Avenue for improved accessibility. In addition, the upgrade included a new footpath on the northern side of the station; a new pedestrian median safety fence on the Great Western Highway and new signage on the southern side of the station.

Commuter car park – Completed April 2012

The commuter car park has been upgraded and expanded on the southern side to provide approximately 23 additional spaces, a new entrance, improved traffic flow, CCTV surveillance, lighting and a covered footpath to the station. A new 'kiss and ride' and taxi zone was also constructed on the southern side to make passenger drop off in the new car park  easier. Lighting was added in the existing commuter car park on the northern side to improve safety. Parking is free and available 24 hours, seven days per week.

Kogarah

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced June 2011 – Completed April 2012

The station forecourt has been redesigned and facilities have been upgraded on surrounding roads, including changes to bus stops, 'kiss and ride' facilities, taxi zones, a pedestrian crossing and bicycle facilities.

Macarthur

Commuter car park – Completed November 2011

The upgraded commuter car park provides an additional 290 commuter parking spaces on the western side of the Tailby Street car park and a further 160 spaces on the eastern side of the Tailby Street car park. Parking is free and available 24 hours, seven days per week.

Pedestrian crossing – Commenced October 2013 – Completed December 2013

Transport for NSW is constructing a signalised crossing on Menangle Road between Tailby Street and Geary Street to improve the connectivity between the commuter car park and the station. The pedestrian crossing is the final stage of the commuter car park project.

Martin Place

Easy access upgrade – Completed April 2011

The Martin Place Easy Access Upgrade included a lift from Martin Place street level to station concourse.

Marulan

Accessibility upgrade – Commenced December 2013 – Completed April 2014

Improvements to Marulan Station included:

  • accessible ramp and footpath from Platform 1 to the existing pedestrian level crossing
  • accessible ramp and footpath leading to Platform 2
  • new balustrade and hand rails
  • improved safety including tactile surfacing, lighting and CCTV surveillance cameras.

Milsons Point

Wharf interchange – Commenced February 2013 – Completed April 2013

Improvements to Milsons Point Wharf Interchange included 'kiss and ride' upgrade, footpath regrading and new bus shelter.

Moss Vale

Commuter car park – Commenced June 2013 – Completed December 2013

The new Moss Vale commuter car park is located at the corner of Argyle Street and Dalys Way, approximately 200 metres from Moss Vale station. The car park provides 56 spaces and includes security lighting and CCTV surveillance.
Two additional disabled parking spaces were also provided near the station entrance as part of this project. Other improvements includes upgrading the existing bicycle racks, improved lighting on Dalys Way and a new pedestrian crossing to the car park on Dalys Way.

Mount Druitt

Commuter car park – Commenced May 2009 – Completed October 2012

The new multi storey commuter car park is located north-east of Mount Druitt Station on the corner of North Parade and Mount Street, providing commuters with approximately 220 additional car park spaces.

Mulgrave

Accessibility upgrade – Commenced April 2014 – Completed April 2014

Improvements to accessibility at Mulgrave Station included the construction of a new accessible ramp, and improved safety through the installation of additional CCTV surveillance cameras and lighting.

Narwee

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced March 2011 – Completed September 2011

The project delivered upgrades to bus stops, a 'kiss and ride' zone and taxi zone with shelters on Penshurst Road South, new bicycle facilities and improvements to footpaths through the subway and on both sides of the station.

Newtown

Station upgrade – Commenced February 2011 – Completed February 2013

Newtown Station was upgraded to make train travel more comfortable, safe and convenient for customers. The upgrade included a centrally located concourse, new covered walkways, a new lift, upgraded toilet and retail premises, new platform canopies and improved CCTV, lighting, signage, tactile tiles and bike racks.

Normanhurst

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced March 2013 – Completed June 2013

Improvements to the transport interchange facilities at Normanhurst Station included:

  • upgrading of road pavement and kerb and gutter at bus stops on Denman Parade
  • upgrading of footpaths to eliminate trip hazards
  • providing new bike racks
  • installing new blisters at existing pedestrian crossing on Denman Parade to improve pedestrian safety.

North Strathfield

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced August 2011 –completed late 2012

North Strathfield Transport Interchange has been upgraded to include new shelter over a pedestrian walkway, new and formalised 'kiss and ride' zones, bicycle racks, a new pedestrian access ramp, upgrade of bicycle facilities and upgrade of footpaths.

Oak Flats

Commuter Car Park – Commenced November 2013 – Completed June 2014

The Oak Flats Commuter Car Park project involved the construction of an additional 230 parking spaces, new lighting, landscaping and fencing.

Ourimbah

Accessibility upgrade – Commenced June 2013 – Completed September 2013

The improvements to Ourimbah Station included the construction of two small ramps at the station building doorways on Platform 2 and the installation of new handrails and tactile indicators.

Panania

Transport interchange upgrade – Completed October 2011

The transport interchange facilities at Panania have been upgraded to make it easier for commuters to access the station by different transport modes. The project delivered upgrades to bus stops and footpaths, 'kiss and ride' pedestrian drop off zones, a taxi zone on the north side of the station, bicycle racks, shelters, fencing, guides for the visually impaired and signage to improve accessibility.

Pennant Hills

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced April 2013 – Completed July 2013

Improvements to the transport interchange facilities at Pennant Hills Station included:

  • upgrading existing uneven footpath areas affected by tree roots at Railway Street, Yarrara Road and Ramsay Road
  • reconstructing uneven road pavement in Railway Street and at the intersection of Ramsay Road and Pennicook Lane
  • converting the existing RailCorp staff car park for commuter use, including an upgrade to comply with accessibility standards. Five car spaces will be made available for customers, including two accessible parking spaces
  • new signage for kiss and ride areas on Yarrara Road and Ramsay Road.

Picton

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced September 2013 – Completed December 2013

Improvements to the transport interchange facilities at Picton Station included:

  • upgrading the footpath pavement on the northern side of Station Street
  • installing a new refuge island on Station Street
  • installing a new pedestrian footpath for the southern side of Station Street
  • installing a pedestrian safety fence along the northern side of the Prince Street road bridge (over the railway line)
  • installing new way-finding signage.

Revesby

Commuter car park – Commenced March 2010 – Completed April 2011

Constructed north-east of the station, with entrances off Simmons Street and The River Road, the new multi-storey car park provides around 720 spaces, with approximately 580 spaces allocated for commuters and the remainder for shoppers. The car park includes 15 disabled parking spaces, lift access to all levels, accessible pathways, security lighting and CCTV surveillance. Parking is free and available 24 hours, seven days per week.

Riverstone

Station upgrade – Commened November 2013 – Completed April 2014

Improvements to accessibility at Riverstone Station included regrading the internal ramp near the ticket office and construction of a new ramp between the platform and Garfield Road.

Scone

Accessibility upgrade – Commenced March 2013 – Completed May 2013

The improvements to Scone Station include resurfacing and re-leveling the footpath and line-marking the accessible car parking space.

Singleton

Station upgrade – Commenced late 2012 – Completed February 2013

Improvements to Singleton Station included improved ramp access.

St James

Easy access – Completed April 2011

Improvements to Easy Access at St James Station included a lift from street level to concourse level (tunnel).

Strathfield

Station upgrade – Commenced October 2013 – Completed January 2014

Improvements to reduce congestion and improve customer thoroughfare through the concourse area, including;

  • removal of retail kiosks
  • relocation of Public Information Displays (PIDs)
  • installation of a handrail around the central columns
  • lighting and new tiling where the kiosks were removed.

Sutherland 

Transport interchange upgrade – Commenced late 2012 – Completed May 2014

The Sutherland Interchange Upgrade will provide increased bus capacity, alleviate some existing traffic congestion and provide a safer environment for pedestrians around Sutherland Station.

Sydenham

Station upgrade – Commenced January 2011 – Concourse opened to the public in February 2013

Sydenham Station was upgraded to make train travel more accessible for customers. Works included a new elevated concourse and station entrance with new ticketing facilities, retail space, a staff office and public and family accessible toilets; four new lifts to the platform and concourse, expansion of the station forecourt area to include new bicycle storage facilities and new staircases to access platforms.

Unanderra

Station upgrade – Completed March 2013

Improvements include remediation of existing station platform, reinstating CCTV, lighting, draining and maintenance to the existing pedestrian footbridge.

Wallarobba

Accessibility Upgrade – Commenced December 2013 – Completed April 2014

Improvements to Wallarobba station included:

  • construction of a new accessible ramp
  • an accessible parking space with footpath leading to the ramp
  • upgraded safety features including lighting and CCTV surveillance cameras.

Windsor

Station upgrade – Commenced October 2011 – Completed 2012

Windsor was upgraded to make train travel from this station more accessible for customers. Features include a new station building, reconfiguration and refurbishment of the station building, reconstruction of the platform, replacement of awnings, upgrade of the public address, CCTV and lighting systems.

Woy Woy

Commuter car park – Commenced April 2010 – Completed April 2011

Constructed above the existing Deepwater Plaza car park located off George Street, the new car park provides an additional three levels of parking with approximately 300 additional spaces, including 17 accessible spaces, lighting, and CCTV surveillance cameras.
