Project overview

Transport for NSW is working with the City of Parramatta Council to deliver additional commuter parking spaces in Wentworth Avenue, Wentworthville to provide commuters with more convenient access to public transport.

The project is part of the NSW Government’s Commuter Car Park Program, providing more convenient access to public transport at key interchanges and helping to ease congestion on our roads.

The project is being delivered in partnership with City of Parramatta Council.

In late 2021, City of Parramatta Council invited the community to provide feedback on the proposed concept design for additional commuter car parking spaces in:

  • Short Street
  • Water Street and Wentworth Avenue and
  • Wentworthville. 

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback. Your feedback helps us understand what is important to customers.

As a result of the community feedback there will only be additional commuter car parking on Wentworth Avenue, Wentworthville.  

Project status

Construction is now complete. The additional commuter car parking spaces are expected to be completed and open to commuters in mid-2022.
