Project Delivery strategies

We work with a range of contractors, sub-contractors and consultants to deliver our portfolio of projects. The nature of a project will determine the delivery strategy selected by Transport for NSW to deliver the project.

We engage contractors in traditional Managing Contractor, Construct Only and Design and Construct contracts and is also involved in a number of Alliance contracts.

A typical Alliance involves owner and non-owner participants, generally including a designer, constructor and, in some cases, other specialists.

In an Alliance, the owner and non-owner participants collaborate and share responsibility for risks and share successes. The Alliance framework provides an incentive for all parties to achieve more than the minimum requirements and deliver results on a ‘best for project’ basis.
