Trains in NSW are operated by RailCorp. RailCorp operates passenger rail services and associated bus/coach networks throughout the Sydney metropolitan, outer-urban, and regional areas of NSW.

These services are provided by RailCorp's two business groups, CityRail and CountryLink.

CityRail operate services in the Sydney-Newcastle-Wollongong Greater Metropolitan Region.
