Greener Wilder West
Greener Wilder West is an exciting new series of programs and events that will run in Western Sydney Parklands between August 2022 and February 2023 as part of The Festival of Place.
Take a break and reconnect to nature in one of the multi-sensory walks, workshops or activities as the parkland comes alive with participatory science, art, and nature experiences for all ages.
Current research proves that connecting to nature and spending less time in front of screens has positive effects on your physical and mental health.
Western Sydney Parklands’ new project Greener Wilder West offers a wide range of nature connection and nature play programs for you and your family.
From August 2022 to February 2023, activities available include:
- School holiday programs
- Nature connection walks
- Spotlight prowls
- Foraging walks
- Bush tucker walks
- Kid’s Halloween theatre
- Art workshops
These programs are created by Greater Sydney Parklands’ education and community programs team in collaboration with Blacktown Art Centre, Shared Knowledge, Wild Food Store, Hooked on Nature, and Casula Powerhouse.
