Smart Western Sydney Showcase 2022

On 2 November 2022, we hosted the first ever Smart Western Sydney Showcase.

More than 350 government practitioners, researchers, and industry leaders came together both in-person and online, to listen, share and explore the investments being made to make Western Sydney a place where innovation is alive, and technology is enabling a 22nd Century City.

The event showcased initiatives that have received contributions of over $12 million through the Smart Places Acceleration Program from across Western Sydney. These projects are piloting new solutions to old problems; providing better roads, improving air quality, helping us use water wisely, and providing cooler, greener, more inviting public spaces.

The SmartNSW Roadmap, and Western Parkland City Digital Equity and Inclusion Program were also launched at the event.
