Trust and tech in smart places

Date: Wednesday, 31 May 2023
Location: Delivered online

A great transformation is underway across the world. Smart technologies are shaping our cities and helping us create centres and towns that are not just connected, but sustainable, liveable and inclusive.

As connected CCTV, sensors, actuators and artificial intelligence become mainstays of our future cities, it is critical for smart places to be built for people and designed with people, generating trust and human connection.

This masterclass helps place and precinct managers and councils to deliver smart solutions safely, ethically and transparently, growing community involvement and engagement. Rewatch the sessions to hear from people using smart technologies in public spaces, and experts in the fields of privacy, ethics, cybersecurity, engagement and data governance.

The Trust and tech in smart places Masterclass builds on our 2021 Masterclass on Building trust when creating smart places, and the release of the Smart Places Customer Charter in late 2021.
