Overview
Between 2020 and 2023, the Smart Places Acceleration Program provided co-contributions for NSW Government agencies to deliver smart initiatives.
Government agencies are delivering these initiatives in partnership with:
- local councils and place managers
- industry
- the innovation and research sectors.
The program funded 28 initiatives and projects to:
- generate new data
- grow capability in the public sector
- generate and communicate data insights
- deliver new enabling technology and smart infrastructure.
The Smart Places Acceleration Program was funded by the Digital Restart Fund.

This project aims to provide insights on the 24-hour economy strategy for Sydney's nightlife.
