State Transit buses grow moustaches for Movember

You may have noticed the moustaches our buses have grown for Movember. For the first time, State Transit has also wrapped a bus in handsome artwork to support the charity to help raise awareness about cancer and men’s mental health.

The bus from Randwick Depot was wrapped in eye catching black and white images of men of all different background and ages with varying styles of moustaches with the catch phrases “changing the face of men’s health” and “whatever you grow will save a bro”.

The wrapped bus will operate services around Sydney’s CBD.

Now in its 16th year in Australia, in the month of November supporters of the charity across the world grow a mo to raise funds and awareness to tackle men’s health concerns.

More than a thousand Government buses have undergone a furry facelift, donning moustaches for the cause.

State Transit CEO Steffen Faurby said sticking “mos” on the front of buses through all of November will do more than catch the eye of bus customers and commuters.

“This is far bigger than a fashion statement, we are literally driving awareness to encourage important conversations around men’s health,” Steffen said.

“State Transit is proud to be supporting Movember in their efforts to bring greater attention to the fight against prostate cancer, testicular cancer and male suicide."

Movember Country Director, APAC, Rachel Carr said: “We’re delighted that State Transit has gotten behind Movember in such a big way this year.

“Having their fleet of buses transform into moving billboards for men’s health allows us to reach more men throughout Sydney’s suburbs, with the aim of encouraging guys to sign up for the hairy month and spark life-saving conversations.”
