Changed traffic conditions on Argyle and Macquarie Street, Windsor
Motorists are advised of maintenance and improvement work at the intersection of Argyle and Macquarie Street, Windsor.
Work will be carried out over 11 night shifts between 8pm to 5am, Tuesday 21 November to Wednesday 6 December 2023, weather permitting. There will be no work on Friday or Saturday nights.
This work is being carried out to improve the overall operation and safety of the intersection. The ‘No Right Turn’ will also support a new pedestrian crossing which will result in a standard intersection layout.
After this work is complete, southbound motorists travelling on Macquarie Street will not be permitted to turn right onto Argyle Street. If southbound motorists need to access Argyle Street, they are advised to use Bell Street (one street before Argyle Street) and George Street or Campbell Street (one street after Argyle Street) and George Street.
Temporary lane closures will be in place for worker and road user safety. This includes traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
