Changed traffic conditions on the Sydney Harbour Bridge for maintenance work

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on Sydney Harbour Bridge this week as maintenance is carried out overnight.  

Four lanes on the bridge will be closed overnight this week for maintenance work to be carried out on the Sydney Harbour Bridge deck. 

The closures will be carried out as below:

  • Monday 28 November – 11.00pm to 4.30am (Lanes 4,6,7,8)
  • Tuesday 29 November – 11.00pm to 4.30am (Lanes 4,6,7,8)
  • Wednesday 30 November –11.00pm to 4.30am (Lanes 4,5,6,7)
  • Thursday 1 December – 11.30pm to 4.30am (Lanes 4,5,6,7)

Access from Western Distributor, Kent St and Clarence St will be maintained throughout these closures.

The Sydney Harbour Tunnel will also remain open. 

Night-time works will also be carried out on the Western Distributor between York Street and Market Street from Sunday 27 November to Thursday 1 December.

Two of three southbound lanes will be closed from 10pm to 4.30am for gantry removal.

Harbour Street will also be closed northbound between Bathurst Street and the Western Distributor from 10pm to 5am. 

Motorists will be able to access Darling Harbour and Anzac Bridge, while access to Harbour St will be via Anzac Bridge, to Harris Street and Pier Street. 

Traffic controls and reduced speed limits will be in place for the safety of workers and road users. 

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.
