Comment invited for intersection upgrades on Manns Road
21 May 2019
Community feedback is invited on the proposed upgrades of two intersections on Manns Road at West Gosford and Narara.
Roads and Maritime Services Director Hunter Region Anna Zycki said the NSW Government is investing $2.2 million to continue planning for the proposed upgrade of the two intersections to reduce congestion during peak times and improve road user safety.
“The proposal includes new turn lanes from Manns Road into Narara Creek Road to improve traffic flow for motorists turning in nearby schools and residential areas,” Ms Zycki said.
“These intersection upgrades have been identified as a high priority to improve travel times along Manns Road as they would improve road user safety, traffic flow and access to public transport.
“The proposals involve a range up of improvements at the intersections and approaches, including new traffic lanes and paths.
“The improvements will provide safer access to Glenvale School and St Phillip’s Christian College, particularly during peak periods around school pick-up and drop-off.
“An extra lane is also proposed on Manns Road at the Stockyard Place intersection at West Gosford for southbound traffic.”
The community is also invited to have its say on the review of environmental factors (REF), which outlines the key features of the proposal, the options Roads and Maritime has considered, and the proposal’s environmental impact.
Submissions close at 5pm on Friday 14 June 2019 and documents can be viewed at Central Coast Council (Gosford) or on the Manns Road page.
