Corporate Maritime Property Access (CMPA)

Transport for NSW provides access to Corporate Property files to allow property owners, lease holders or their authorised representative to search for historical records, including leasing and development records relating to wetland properties within Sydney Harbour and other Maritime wetlands.

Informal release of information

This process is classified under section 8 of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act) as informal release of government information. The GIPA Act recognises that the release of government information promotes open, accountable, and fair government.

This process allows Transport for NSW to provide information to customers without the need for a formal GIPA application. Information is usually only withheld from customers where there is an overriding public interest against disclosure.

What is the process?

The customer must complete and submit the Corporate Maritime Property Access (CMPA) application form in the Transport for NSW Maritime eLodgement portal.

Transport for NSW will contact the customer when the records are ready for inspection.

Inspections are held in the reception area of the Transport for NSW's Rozelle Office at 33 James Craig Road, Rozelle NSW 2039.

Following the inspection, Transport for NSW will collate the records identified by the customer and forward them to the customer by email.

Please send email to cmpa@transport.nsw.gov.au should additional information be required.
