The Australian and NSW governments are funding projects to improve safety and support affordable housing in the Greater Macarthur Growth Area.

Project information
Background
Planning is currently underway to deliver a 5.4-kilometre road safety upgrade between Mount Gilead and Ambarvale which includes intersection upgrades, widening part of the road from two to four lanes, and construction of new intersections to provide access to the approved Figtree Hill community project.
In addition, two koala underpasses and additional fauna fencing are proposed to increase protection for the local koala population.

The community was invited to provide feedback on the Addendum Review of Environmental Factors (A/REF) between Tuesday 22 November until Tuesday 13 December 2022. Community feedback helps us understand what is important to customers and the community. Submissions are now closed.
