Blacktown Crossover
Project overview
The Blacktown Crossover project involved important upgrades of rail infrastructure to increase reliability of the T1 Western Line at Blacktown.
The new crossover supports increased growth in rail patronage, increased flexibility in rail operations and reduced conflict and delays on the network.
The project included installing a new section of track between Seven Hills and Blacktown stations to separate the local and express services, allowing express services to pass the all-stops trains.
The Blacktown Crossover project was completed early 2018.
