Changes to bus stops have been completed
These approved changes were on:
- Canterbury Road, Canterbury
- Permanent Avenue, Earlwood
- Earlwood Avenue, Earlwood
- William Street, Earlwood and Kingsgrove
- Homer Street, Earlwood
- Kingsgrove Road, Kingsgrove.
Please note local councils are responsible for the provision of shelters, seats, rubbish bins and footpaths.
For any information about the changes to bus stops please contact Transport for NSW on 1300 038 500 or via their website.
These changes are part of Sydney's Bus Future, the NSW Government’s plan to redesign Sydney’s bus network to meet customer needs now and into the future. In this plan, our customers tell us that travel time and on-time running are some of the most important service features. For more information on Sydney’s Bus Future, please visit. These changes were developed by Transport for NSW and Roads and Maritime, in consultation with Sydney Buses. Local councils were consulted as part of the early planning work. Transport for NSW and Roads and Maritime Services have implemented changes to some bus stops along 412, 423 and 428.
There are also changes to some on-street parking. For more information, please download the project update.
The NSW Government has funded the Bus Priority Infrastructure Program. The program aims to improve the reliability of bus services on Sydney’s main bus corridors.
The changes are part of ‘Sydney’s Bus Future’, the NSW Government’s plan to redesign Sydney’s bus network to meet customer needs now and into the future. For more information please visit Sydney's Bus Future.

- Making travel times more reliable for passengers.
We received feedback from 215 people and organisations. We would like to thank everyone for their comments. The feedback included comments about access to bus services, additional walking distances and project justification. We summarised the feedback with our responses in a Submissions Report.
