Oct 2019 – Work commences

We will be working between 6am and 6pm from Monday to Saturday and expect to complete the work in up to eight months, weather permitting. We will let you know if advance if we need to do any work outside these times.

There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe including lane closures and a 40km/h speed limit. Motorists may experience delays of up to ten minutes and should allow extra travel time.

Background

Improvements are being carried out along a three kilometre section of road from the Golden Highway intersection.

These improvements will benefit more than 8,000 motorists who travel along Denman Road each day and will involve:

  • road widening and rebuilding
  • installing roadside safety barriers
  • upgrading drainage including installing concrete pipes under the road.

During the project there will be a number of sites along the road that will be used for storing materials and equipment.

More information is available in the September 2019 project notification (PDF, 239.96 KB).
