Project information

Background

The need to improve this section of road was identified in the draft Oxley Highway Corridor Strategy (PDF, 14.47 MB). With a history of crashes at this location, it was identified as one of the three highest risks areas along the Oxley Highway.

The project involved several safety improvements, including:

  • improving the road geometry by removing several tight curves
  • widening the road shoulders
  • improving drainage.
