Regional station upgrades

Transport for NSW is planning accessibility upgrades in regional NSW as part of the Transport Access Program, an initiative to provide a better experience for public transport customers by delivering accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure.

The accessibility upgrades may include features such as:

  • accessible pathways and ramps
  • tactiles on the platforms and targeted locations throughout the station
  • kiss and ride/accessible parking spaces
  • upgrading amenities including waiting rooms and ticket offices, seating, and accessible/ambulant toilet facilities
  • bus and coach parking facilities.

Market sounding

In late 2020 we conducted regional market sounding through a series of drop-in sessions and online livestream sessions.

This engagement allowed us to provide regional NSW with information on the program’s scope of work, engage with as many relevant local businesses and suppliers as possible, seek industry feedback, and provide information on the program’s procurement process.

Expressions of Interest (EOI)

Transport for NSW has opened EOI for the contruction of accessibility upgrades at 11 regional train stations.

Local businesses and suppliers are being encouraged to submit an EOI for these works, and the supply of a variety of goods, services and materials.

If you would like more information or want to register your EOI for this work, please visit the NSW Government e-Tendering website.

Following the EOI process, shortlisted companies will be invited to tender to deliver the projects.
