Project information

New clearways installed

Transport for NSW has installed new 24 hour clearways on the Great Western Highway between the M7 Motorway, Eastern Creek and Reservoir Road, Blacktown.

The new clearways will operate in both directions on Great Western Highway at all times (24 hours / 7 days a week), replacing the existing ‘No Parking’ restrictions.

The Transit lane between Bungarribee Creek and Reservoir Road will continue to apply in an eastbound direction during 6am-10am and 3pm-7pm on weekdays.

The new clearways will help traffic flow by restricting parking during the clearway hours and allowing vehicles to be towed if they stop illegally or breakdown.

The new clearways are operational on Great Western Highway from Monday 27 August 2018.

Clearways hours

The new clearways will operate in both directions on Great Western Highway:

  • At all times on weekdays
  • At all times on weekends and public holidays.

Changes to the clearways began on Monday 27 August 2018.

To report a vehicle parked in a clearway or if your vehicle has been towed from a clearway, please call Transport Management Centre on 131 700.
