Project overview
The Australian and NSW governments have upgraded The Northern Road as part of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan (WSIP), a $4.1 billion road investment program.
What is The Northern Road Employment and Training Hub?
The Northern Road Employment and Training Hub (TNRHub) has been set up on one of the State’s biggest road infrastructure programs, a $4.1 billion Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan.
TNRHub is a one-stop shop to connect jobseekers with training, upskilling and job opportunities on The Northern Road upgrade.
Transport for NSW is working with industry, vocational education and training providers and non-government organisations to deliver TNRHub training, and then jobs with contractors and subcontractors building the major infrastructure for western Sydney’s future.
Through the Hub we are targeting groups for training and jobs:
- Long-term unemployed people
- Young people – under age 25
- Women in Construction
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
- Refugees.
