Changed traffic conditions in North Sydney from this Friday

The community is advised of changed traffic conditions from this Friday for upgrade work on the Warringah Freeway.

Between 8pm Friday 10 May and 6am Sunday 12 May, the following changes will take place, pending weather:
•    Alfred Street North will be reduced to one southbound lane between Kurraba Road and Whaling Road.
•    Mount Street will be reduced to one lane eastbound on approach to Alfred St North. Access to the Cahill Expressway will be maintained at all times.
•    The left turn from Mount Street to Alfred Street North will be closed. Motorists should detour via Alfred Street North, High Street and Clark Road. This intersection will operate under an amber flashing light.

For approximately 12 months from 8pm Friday 10 May, the following changes will take place, pending weather:
•    Alfred Street North northbound will be closed between Mount Street and Kurraba Road. 
•    The Warringah Freeway southbound off-ramp to Alfred Street North will be reduced from two lanes to one between the Warringah Freeway and Mount Street.
•    Traffic signals will be removed for motorists travelling from eastbound on Mount Street into southbound on Alfred Street North.
•    Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow for extra travel time.
