The NSW Government provides subsidised or concession travel to a wide range of people including school and tertiary students, jobseekers, apprentices, trainees, people with disabilities, eligible ex-members of the Defence Forces, pensioners, seniors and war widows and widowers.

School Student Transport Scheme
The School Student Transport Scheme (SSTS) is one of the most generous subsidised travel programs in Australia. The NSW Government provides more than $550 million to subsidise the 120 million trips taken annually by NSW school students to and from school. We manage the School Student Transport Scheme (SSTS) on the Government’s behalf.

Assisted School Travel Program
Students with a disability who are unable to travel to and from school under the SSTS may be eligible for access to assistance under the Department of Education Assisted School Travel Program.
Private Vehicle Conveyance subsidy
