Location
Aboriginal VET Cadet roles are available in and around metropolitan Sydney.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, the applicant must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. We’re looking for people who want to make a difference and are interested in what we do at Transport for NSW. No previous work experience is necessary – we’ll provide VET Cadets with all the training and support they need.
Work conditions
Aboriginal VET Cadets work full time for a minimum of 35 hours per week. There is time built into the program to help balance classes and complete coursework during work hours. VET Cadets receive an annual salary at Transport Grade 1a.
Career pathways
Aboriginal VET Cadets can apply for internally advertised roles. Aboriginal VET Cadets may be eligible to apply for any of our other entry level talent programs.
