Accellion cyber incident update

Earlier this year, Transport for NSW sent out notifications to customers and employees whose personal information was compromised by the Accellion cyber incident.

Following final assurance investigations, Transport for NSW has identified additional customers and employees who were impacted.

Our notifications are delivered securely, and significantly impacted employees will be called by a dedicated case officer to offer guidance and support.

Transport for NSW is currently in the process of sending out these notifications. These will be the final notifications from Transport for NSW in relation to this incident and the process is expected to be completed in the new year.  

Transport for NSW remains committed to supporting customers by providing guidance and assistance to address the personal impact of this breach.

Customers or employees may also seek independent assistance from IDCARE, Australia’s national identity and cyber-support community service. The investigation into NSW-related aspects of the global Accellion breach is being led by Cyber Security NSW and NSW Police.
