Transport for NSW has partnered with Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue to host the BOOMTOWN! 2017 Infrastructure and Property Summit on Wednesday 22 November. The summit will bring together key stakeholders and showcase the major projects that will shape our Western Sydney region into the future

Transport for NSW will join NSW Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance along with a range of public and private sector leaders to outline plans for major projects such as Sydney Metro West, Parramatta Light Rail and Western Sydney Airport.

We will also discuss how our Draft Future Transport Strategy 2056 offers a vision for how transport can support growth and the economy of NSW during the next 40 years, including in Western Sydney.

Greater Western Sydney is currently home to over 2 million people and it’s projected to grow to at least 3 million by 2031, and to 4 million by 2050. These figures cement the importance of engaging key stakeholders in an ongoing conversation about the future Greater Western Sydney, as well as the need for collaboration between government agencies and organisations such as the Greater Sydney Commission to deliver the best results for NSW.

We know that Transport has a key role to play in the future of this region - the right transport infrastructure and services will enable Western Sydney to reach its potential and become an even more vibrant, liveable and thriving district.
