Changed traffic conditions for Webbs Creek Ferry

Published

Motorists are advised of impacts to Webbs Creek ferry services this week due to planned industrial action.

The Maritime Union of Australia is conducting Protected Industrial Action in relation to Birdon Vehicular Ferries, the contractor operating on behalf of Transport for NSW.

Ferry services will not operate on Thursday 1 February between 2.30pm and 6.30pm.

Emergency services needing to cross the river will not be affected by the disruptions and will be able to cross.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use services outside of these hours or detour via St Albans Bridge, which will add approximately 50 minutes to journey times.

Eastbound road users can detour via St Albans Road, Settlers Road, Wisemans Ferry Road and Old Northern Road to River Road.

Westbound road users will need to detour via River Road, Old Northern Road, Wisemans Ferry Road and Settlers Road to St Albans Road.
