Changed traffic conditions for Webbs Creek Ferry extended closure

Published

The community is advised the timeframe for the Webbs Creek ferry monthly service closure will be extended next week.

Motorists will be unable to use the ferry from 9am to 2.30pm on Tuesday 6 February, weather permitting, to carry out additional maintenance work which includes the installation of security cameras.

The usual monthly stoppage time is from 9am to 12pm.

Extended work hours have been scheduled to avoid peak hour travel times.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use services outside of these hours or detour via St Albans Bridge, which will add approximately 50 minutes to journey times.

Eastbound road users will detour via St Albans Road, Settlers Road, Wisemans Ferry Road and Old Northern Road to River Road.

Westbound road users will detour via River Road, Old Northern Road, Wisemans Ferry Road and Settlers Road to St Albans Road.

Emergency services needing to cross the river during the stoppage period will be able to do so with a short delay of around 20 minutes to allow for the resetting of the crossing to provide ferry service.

Transport for NSW thanks the community for their patience during this time.
