Changed traffic conditions on Banks Road, Miller and bus stop changes at Miller TAFE, Hoxton Park Road, Miller
There will be changed traffic conditions at Banks Road and Hoxton Park Road, Miller.
These changes are necessary to carry out work improving travel connectivity on the Liverpool-Parramatta Transitway (T-way).
The Miller TAFE bus stop on Hoxton Park Road will be closed to improve safety, reduce traffic congestion and enable easier transfers with T80 services on the Liverpool-Parramatta T-way.
Bus routes 853 and 854 that use the Miller TAFE bus stop will be diverted for a short section on to the Liverpool-Parramatta T-way and passengers can use the Miller T-Way stops instead.
The concrete barrier between the Liverpool-Parramatta T-Way and Banks Road will be removed. Removing this barrier will make it easier for buses to turn around and access the T-Way, especially during peak hours, which will reduce delays and travel times. The area near the concrete barriers is currently being used as an informal parking area. After the concrete barriers are removed there will be no further parking in this area. Parking will still be available in the marked spaces surrounding.
Work will be completed over a total of 10 shifts between Thursday 16 June to Wednesday 3 July, weather permitting. There will be five nightshifts with working hours between 7pm to 5am from Sunday to Thursday. There will also be five dayshifts with working hours of 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
There will be temporary traffic changes to make sure the work zone is safe. Lane closures and a 40km/h speed limit will be in place for the safety of our workers and motorists.
Road users are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
