Changed traffic conditions on Hamilton Road and Barbara Street, Fairfield

Road users are advised of changed overnight traffic conditions from Monday 30 June 2025 at the intersection of Hamilton Road and Barbara Street, Fairfield for road improvement work.

The work involves installing new traffic light arrows and new mast arms at the intersection to allow pedestrians to more safely cross the road while holding motorists on red arrows.

Work will be completed between Monday 30 June and Tuesday 29 July 2025, weather permitting. We will be on site for another 3 night shifts in total, between Sunday to Thursday, 8pm and 5am, the next day. We will not work on Friday and Saturday nights.

There will be temporary traffic changes to make sure the work zone is safe.

Lane closures and a 40km/h speed limit will be in place for the safety of our workers and motorists. Temporary traffic lights may also be used.
