Changed traffic conditions on the M5 bridge over Georges River, Liverpool

Road users are advised of changed traffic conditions on the M5 bridge over Georges River, Liverpool.

These changes are necessary to carry out maintenance work above and below the M5 bridge over Georges River, Liverpool.

We will be working for up to 2-night shifts and 4-day shifts between Monday 28 April and Thursday 15 May 2025,weather permitting. Night shift working hours will be between 8pm and 5am from Sunday to Thursday.  Day shift working hours will be between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Friday.

No work will occur on Friday and Saturday nights, or on public holidays.

There will be temporary traffic changes during our work hours to make sure the work zone is safe for workers and road users. This includes the closure of the slow lane westbound during the night shifts. The bridge will remain open while all work is carried out.

Road users are advised to drive and ride to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.
