Changed traffic conditions on Newbridge Road, Moorebank

Published

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on Newbridge Road in Moorebank at the Light Horse Bridge because routine maintenance inspections of the Light Horse Bridge are being carried out. This work will improve safety for road users and help to facilitate ongoing maintenance requirements.

The work will take place over 48 day shifts between Monday 4 March 2024 and Friday 31 May 2024, weather permitting. Working hours will be between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Friday. We will be working for six night shifts between 8pm and 5am.

We plan to work one weekend on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April between 6am and 6pm and no work will occur on public holidays.

There will be temporary traffic impacts while we complete this work. This includes a single lane closure where traffic controllers will be in place and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h. This single lane closure will only be in place for maximum of three day shifts when the drainage systems are being cleared.

The bridge will remain open whilst the work is being conducted. Pedestrians will continue having access to the bridge with traffic controllers in place to escort pedestrians through the site.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control. Transport for NSW thanks the community for their patience during this time.
