Changed traffic conditions on Old Bathurst Road in Penrith LGA

Published

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions with the closure of Old Bathurst Road between Great Western Highway and Smith Street, Emu Plains, in the Penrith Local Government Area from Monday 31 October 2022 for two nights between 9pm and 5am each night.

The closures will allow the safe construction of electrical upgrade work, gas main protection, and stormwater work in Old Bathurst Road as part of the Emu Plains Commuter Car Park project.

To minimise impacts to motorists, Old Bathurst Road will be reopened as soon as work has been completed each night.

A detour will be in place via Russell Street. Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

If work is delayed due to inclement weather or unforeseen site conditions, workers may utilise a further two nights on Wednesday 2 November and Thursday 3 November 2022 between 9pm and 5am each night.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
