Changed traffic conditions on the Sydney Harbour Bridge

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on Sydney Harbour Bridge this week.

On the following dates, up to four traffic lanes on the Sydney Harbour Bridge deck will be closed as maintenance work and work on the Warringah Freeway upgrade is carried out.  

  • Friday 27 January – 10pm to 4:30am
  • Sunday 29 January – 9pm to 4.30am 
  • Monday 30 January – 10pm to 4.30am 
  • Tuesday 31 January – 9pm to 4.30am 
  • Wednesday 1 February – 9pm to 4.30am
  • Thursday 2 February– 9:30pm to 4.30am

Mobile maintenance work will also be carried out in the Sydney Harbour Tunnel on Thursday 2 February between 9pm and 5am. However, only sections of the lanes will be closed to motorists under mobile works.

Motorists are also advised of changed traffic conditions on the Alfred Street Off-Ramp to the Warringah Freeway in North Sydney from Friday 27 January to Sunday 29 January. The Off-Ramp will be closed southbound from 8pm to 8am Friday and Saturday. Motorists can detour via Pacific Hwy.

Commuters travelling to and from western Sydney this week are advised to plan ahead as Sydney Trains carries out essential maintenance work on the network.  
 
From 12:30am Saturday 28 January to 2am Monday 30 January, limited buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield, affecting the T1 Western, T2 Inner West & Leppington, and T7 Olympic Park lines. 
 
Some trains run to a changed timetable and customers may have to change trains to complete their journey.
