Gulgong, Kandos, Lue & Rylstone residents invited to help tailor the future of transport services

Residents of the NSW Mid-Western region will have the chance to help shape the future of transport services in their communities by taking part in a survey.

Transport for NSW Regional Director West, Alistair Lunn said the survey would help provide information on current service gaps, as well as future opportunities.

“The focus will be on identifying the opportunities for transport services around Gulgong, Kandos, Lue, Rylstone and their surrounding communities,” Mr Lunn said.

“We are consulting to hear the voices of the community to create a holistic approach to the ways people use public transport.

“This will be delivered via a short survey available online, and we’re also coming out to carry out face-to-face sessions so that we are providing every opportunity to capture a wide range of voices.”

The short survey can be accessed online at Mid Western Regional Transport | Have Your Say (nsw.gov.au) or a hard copy can be accessed from council libraries at Kandos, Rylstone and Gulgong.

It will be open to residents across Gulgong, Kandos, Lue, Rylstone and surrounding communities from 20 March to 11 April.

Transport is also carrying out face-to-face consultation at:

•    Rylstone – Thursday 21 March outside Foodworks Rylstone between 9.30am and 12pm.
•    Kandos – Friday 22 March at Ahmedi’s IGA between 9.30am and 12pm
•    Gulgong – Tuesday 26 March at Ahmedi’s Supa IGA between 9.30am and 12pm.

“We are very keen to hear from the community to gain an understanding of how to tailor services that best suit the needs of those living in these areas,” Mr Lunn said.

“We look forward to working with residents and surrounding communities of Gulgong, Kandos, Lue and Rylstone on planning the future of transport services.”
