Help tailor the future of transport in Balranald

A regional forum is being held in Balranald with community members and key stakeholders to help tailor the future of transport in their town.

Transport for NSW Regional Director West, Alistair Lunn said a series of forums were being held across regional NSW to determine the needs of local communities.

“We know that each community is unique and we need to customise what we do to best suit the needs of the residents,” Mr Lunn said.

“To do this, we should better understand our communities so we can deliver tailored transport services and solutions, and we are coming to do this in Balranald.

“The information we gather from attendees could be included in future transport strategies.

“They will also get some insight into how Transport for NSW is structured and who, from our organisation can be contacted if they need information on local matters.

“But the main focus is to hold constructive, two-way conversations with community members and stakeholders where we listen to their needs and concerns, so together we can plan for their future transport needs.”

The Balranald Regional Forum will be held on Tuesday 9 May at the Theatre Royal, 90 Market Street from 5pm to 8pm.

“Transport is committed to developing our community partnering capability, by working closely with local communities to deliver multi-modal transport solutions and outcomes for regional NSW communities,” Mr Lunn said.

“Essentially, we want you to tell us the needs of your community so we can make journeys safer, easier and more reliable for everyone.”
